Check out clerk

I just went to the store for a last minute, post-Christmas gift. We have a friend dropping over tomorrow that we haven’t seen for a while. I shopped for a bit and found a nice little gift the person would like. I headed over to the counter and there’s the same woman that’s been at the store for years. She’s a nice woman — younger than I am — but on the plainish side. Her hair is also a tad stringy, but I never fault people for a wonky gene here and there. We exchanged some pleasantries and she started to ring me up. She was wearing low riders and a belly shirt. Then I noticed that I can see a wift of her fur peeking out of her jeans.

Hmmm…

Is it just me or is there a faux pas here? Shouldn’t she trim so I (and the rest of the customers) can’t see that? It’s not that I’m against body hair or anything, but I gotta think that there’s a protocol somewhere in the retail handbook that reads ‘no pubes for the clientele.’ Save it for the dance floor sister. Any ladies that read this can correct me if I’m wrong; not that anyone reads my blog.

Oh well, at least the present was on sale.
